Today, Life is Good

My original intent today had been to write a little bit about the economics of incentives and how they affect storytelling, and how I think independent artists are our greatest hope for a creative future.
Someday, I might still write on that.
But the sky is clear and blue. A chorus of birds sings what must be love songs to hopeful mates, and pairs of squirrels dance around our trees as they play. The words have been flowing fast and smooth, and my characters are sparking off one another in delightful ways. Soon I’ll pick up my daughter from school and be amazed, once again, by the ways she’s grown since I dropped her off this morning.
Today I look around and find that all I have left to say is that life is good.
